JOIN LISTA FOR OUR 3RD ANNUAL TECH LATINO LEGISLATIVE FORUM

The Third Annual LISTA Tech Latino Legislative Forum will provide Latino TECH professionals an opportunity to speak to members of Congress about key concerns in the industries of science and technology.  It will also provide LISTA an opportunity to continue to raise awareness of the digital divide and how to bridge it.  We will also have discussions on Broadband Adoption, Net Neutrality, and develop ideas on how to stimulate the growth of Health technology business while being a catalyst of change in high-technology and science sector.

The objective of the LISTA Legislative Technology Forum is to offer fresh perspectives on today’s changing technological, economic and political landscape and the technology policies of the Obama Administration that will affect Latinos in technology for the next 30 years.

Participants of our LISTA Annual Legislative Tech Forum will be part of an exciting and thought provoking event with Fortune 1000 executives, technology business leaders and experts, as well as the leadership of the top Latino organizations, including Aspira, MyWireless, the Black Data Processors Association, Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, the U.S Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to mention a few.

The Forum will start the evening prior to discuss issues affecting our tech community and Web 2.0 and Social Media and Being Latino workshop and opening reception with FCC Commissioner Genachowski, then we will commence with congressional hill visits in the morning, reconvene for luncheon on the Hill with invited speaker, the Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius along with workshops on Broadband Strategy Net Neutrality and Health IT.

As it is our tradition, we are inviting long-time friends, partners and new friends to partner with us and help us have a successful day on the hill.  The LISTA 3rd Annual Tech Latino 2030 Legislative Forum 2010 will have a great opportunity to speak to technology and science committee members and many other activities throughout the day.  The cost of the event is a nominal fee of $100.00, which includes the opportunity to interface with corporations looking for minority vendors and professionals, a one year membership to LISTA Newsletter “TechLatino 2030”, Tech advocacy workshop, welcome reception, lunch, congressional meetings and Campeones reception.
